What's Cookin' In The Kitchen???

Mom likes to cook and when she does it is usually making dinner verses dessert.  There are not a lot of human sweets in our household or snacking between meals.  Tonight, much to my dismay because it contains chocolate, she decided to try a new brownie recipe.  Here is the conversation that followed in our kitchen.       

 

Dad: “What you making?” 

Mom: “A treat.” 

(long pause)

Dad: “A dog treat or a human treat?”

Mom: “Human.”

Dad: “Oh good!”

Mom: “What does it say about our household that you even had to ask that question?”

It’s summer so you know what that means…luau!!!  We made ours a festive event by sporting some leis, chillin’ by the pool and enjoying some delicious Howlin’ Hula Cookies Mom made from her Three Dog Bakery Cookbook. 

I give it 3 out of 4 paws.  Tugg gave it 4 out of 4 paws.

Bad Gumbo...Bad Dog!!!

Yes, I'm a bad, bad dog.  It's been 7 months since my last post.  I've let my all of 2 fans down.  I will try to do better but cut me a little slack, it's hard to type with no thumbs! 

Here are some highlights since my last post. 

Christmas was great!  Here is a picture of Tugg & I with Santa.

And yes, we got everything we asked for.  Here we are with My Boy checking out our stocking loot! 

Our favorite gift were new Kongs. 

In January we enjoyed watching the annual Puppy Bowl - the canine's answer to the Super Bowl.  But the best part of watching the game is game food grub! 

My newest news is our summer haircuts.  Tugg & I both got much shorter hairdos as you can see from these pics where we're enjoying a peanut butter-carob treat. 

I promise to submit a post again soon.  Chef Gumbo has plans to head back to the kitchen to whip up another delicious treat.

Happy Birthday Tugg!!!!

It's my big bros birthday today.  Tugg is eight-years-young.  We celebrated with a tasty carob cake with peanut butter icing from a new biz in town, Bow Wow & Meow Bakery & Boutique.  Mom got Tugg's party hat from there too, which he wasn't excited about but once she served us the cake, he decided the hat was a small sacrifice to endure. 

Then we called up our sis Smidget (Tugg's litter mate) to wish her well too.    

Happy Birthday Tugg.  Your the best brother & friend a guy could ask for.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today I’m 2-years-young!!!  Tugg and I enjoyed a peanut butter birthday cake from Just Dogs Gourmet Bakery.  As you can tell from the pictures, it was good.  

I also got a super cool birthday gift that I can’t wait to try out…a bubble machine!!!  I bet My Boy will enjoy it too. 

It’s not just my birthday today but Bogey’s too.  Who is Bogey you ask?  He is also my brother.  You see, Tugg and I aren’t just brothers because we live in the same house, we’re blood related too. 

Our other biological family members live about an hour away with our grandmother.  There’s Fletcher and Ladye Bug, our parents.  Then there are our siblings, Smidget (Tugg’s litter mate) and Bogey (my litter mate).  When the six of us get together, it’s a real wild time.    

Now with a belly full of cake, I’m off to bed.  Good night!
